So, I´m back in dark Sweden for the first time in 5 months. Without making it sound that I´m mega international & that I´m more Austrian than Swedish now days, I have to admit that it is bloddy dark & “unpleasant” up here in the winter. When you live up here, you don´t think about it, but when you are used to have “normal” day light, the sudden change from it, is not very nice. How ever, no matter if its dark & cold up here, Sweden kicks ass when it comes to Christmas food & all the “gazillions” of different sweets that comes with it!!
I´m in great shape right now (when it comes to ski racing). So I have to make sure that the Swedish christmas food & cookies dosen´t mess me up…
Not feeling exactly mega motivated on the gym part, but still manage to throw some core exercises, to keep my body a 100% ready for the rest of the winter.
I must say that Christmas is a nice time of the year, but a part of me wants to speed up the time a bit, Bormio is just around the corner & even if its not my favorite race, I´m feeling hyper motivated for racing downhill right now!!!
PS: All you ski racing kids in Sweden, make sure to eat as much food as possible during the holidays. We need to build up a big, strong & slightly overweight skiing generation. Let the boney & hungry guys rock the slalom skis!!
