Hippopotamus trapped in a downhillers body.

Had a great underwater workout with my club team mate Fredrik today. Doing 6×4 min underwater running with wetwest.

I feel really at home in the water, maybe I´m a hippo but trapped in a downhillers body :)

Checking my heart rate in between the interwals.

Happy hippo after finished workout :)

A new update of my leg status. Looking pretty good I must say 21 days has past & I´m really satisfied with the recovery so far. My foot is still a little bit numb in some places, but in general I have no pain!

Can´t go to the pool without doing some Hasselhof posing!

A truly good workout today, need more of this :)

    Dear “Hippo”,
Bet it felt good to be so mobile in the water w/o the ‘sticks’ to hobble around on ! Kinda freeing isn’t it? :) You mood seems great and that is a beautiful thing for the recovery process and for bone healing and strength. Your meat looks great. You have had some muscle wasting (though it appears not much) in the calf but that is to be expected and will continue until you begin weight bearing. Hang in there, Lionman. Time is flying and bones are mending !

About your new partner…..remember earlier this year how losing a sponsor had bummed you out? Well, it looks as though you have found a better one for a replacement. When one door closes, another one always opens. It just may take awhile to find and turn on the light ! ! ! :)

THANKS for the update ! I really appreciate how you think of us and keep us posted on Life in the FAST LANE !

One question: Do hippos ROAR??? :)

I cannot believe how fast you are recovering! I had a similar injury that took a full year to heal, WTF! what is your secret? i was also working out like crazy but saw no progress. You are making me look like a fool you a**hole! hahaha just kidding, congrats, and i hope you have your best season next year

    Sauber, Mitch;-)))

  5. Quite the fast recovery I might say.
Knowing the hippo is one of the most dangerous animals in the world I think it’s best you make a reservation for the pool so that you’re all alone. So no other mammal can get endangered or intimidated by, 1 you being a hippo and 2, by your impressive Hoff impersonation ;-)

    charge it hippoman,

Lion, hippo…I think you should just call yourself “Wild Kingdom” from now on.
That way, you can take on any dangerous animaI’s fighting ability when needed (NOT including the Hoff in this list).
I can’t believe how quickly your leg is healing! Is it some Super Secret Swedish Olsson Family ability, or could it be due to drinking your new sponsor’s juice? ;-) Either way, glad everything is going so well, glad you aren’t hurting, REALLY glad you are back to updating your blog.
BTW, I meant to say that I thought you did a much better job commenting on the JOI event than that other dude (Roberto?). Your voice was much better to listen to, & you were funny. Maybe a career for you when you are in your 60′s, & not skiing professionally anymore?

Sorry to hear that Alois is leaving the lionman team. I hope Sweden finds a good replacement, and you find the motivation in that to go stronger yet next season.
