Hans & Beat

On my way back.

Hey you guys, I´m still alive, believe it or not! :)

Was up skiing the other day with my man Beat, who also had his first day on skis since his surgery this spring. Great to see him & ski with him again.

So I´m back, or atleast I´m on my way back, saying anything else would be kind of an lie! My doc says that I would probably be able to ski in September, maybe…

I called him the other day & asked if I could try now & he gave me a “go a head but its going to hurt”… Damn you doctor´s, I hate it when you guys have right. My leg hurts while skiing, but luckily not as much as I predicted it would, so thats good!

So whats going on??

Well my leg is kind of fine, but since it got so freaking swollen before I had surgery I guess the nerv channels & the calf muscles got kind of busted & it takes time for that to be fine again. I´m working really hard to do every thing I can to hurry things up & I should be up & running full speed before the first race. So I´m still looking very positive on things!!

I don´t know who “Mark V” is, but he is claiming in the last Blog post comments that I would make a career switch to some ski dancing shit…

“Mark V” If I ever meet you, I will break your leg & eat it!!! ;)

Hope all of you are doing good & keep your eyes open for new updates on my progress…
/Hans

  1. Good to have you back blogging my friend. Although it hurt I guess it was a very joyful day being back on skis. Your facial expression is giving that one away.
This painful rehab will make the taste of victory in the upcoming season even sweeter

Who will be your favorite athletes in the upcoming olympics?
Bolt, Blake on the 100 and 200 metres will be there for sure. On the 400, I hope the Belgian twins Borlée will surprise everybody, how many medals will Phelps win this time, are there Swedes we have to follow in particular, …

great to see you back on skis! what are you doing to make your nerves heal better? I blew my shoulder 4 weeks ago while skiing and had surgery 3 weeks ago but unfortunately I also damaged my nerves during that… so would be great to get some hints ;) doctors predicted 1 year to be fine again but I wouldn´t be mad if there´s a chance to be faster!

Ohhh I am late to the party. What did he say he would do to me? HAHA
So Hans you decided to leave the dance floor and come out to play! Nice. Unfortunately you won’t have the pleasure of breaking my leg because like you I am trying to heal up from a bad leg injury. TWO YEARS now and I am not back to normal! So I know how frustrating it is. Chin up and chill out, you have lots of time.

  8. Keep fighting my friend. You will make it!
